36 CRAZYFISTS ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'LANTERNS' OUT SEPTEMBER 29 VIA SPINEFARM RECORDS

Alaska's 36 CRAZYFISTS will release their deeply personal new album Lanterns on September 29 through Spinefarm Records. It is their second release for the label and the follow up to 2014's Time and Trauma.

Music often functions as that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel and provides shelter during any storm and calm in the middle of tumult. 36 Crazyfists understand this phenomenon firsthand. In fact, the Anchorage quartet—Brock Lindow [vocals], Steve Holt [guitar], Mick Whitney [bass], and Kyle Baltus [drums]—find catharsis within chaos on their aptly titled seventh full-length.

The band has shared the first track from the record in the form of "Death Eater." Listen to the song here.

About releasing "Death Eater" into the wild, Lindow said, "It's a reflection of self and the dwellings of rock bottom, discovering the tools to dig yourself out, and refusing to let yourself free fall into the abyss of hopelessness. Love, forgive, and never give in. In fact, Lanterns is about the fight within us all... forever refusing to sink."

Lanterns is available for pre-order here https://SpinefarmRecords.lnk.to/GOFsU

36 Crazyfists will spend August and September on tour in the US with UK dates to be announced shortly.

DEVILMENT Release official music video for 'JudasStein'

Witch County nefarious frights DEVILMENT – led by vehement frontman Dani Filth, have released the official music video for the song 'JudasStein' today.
Catch the sick flick here:

Devilment are currently preparing for their main stage performance at Bloodstock Festival UK on Friday 11th August. Don’t miss out!
More info & tickets available here:

'JudasStein' comes off of the band's current masterpiece ‘Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes’.

More on ‘Devilment II: The Mephisto Waltzes’:

Dani’s crew have meticulously pieced together a second blood-spattered batch of deranged anthems that brings vastly more colour, intensity and lyrical versatility to the band’s spectral palate. The second DEVILMENT record makes no splintered bones about its nefarious intent, offering a bewildering torrent of disparate and demented ideas and delivering them with refined, ultra-gothic panache and several jolting doses of Dani’s trademark verbal subterfuge. Assisted by long-time collaborators Lauren Francis (keys and vocals), Colin Parks (guitar), Nick Johnson (bass) and new drummer Matt Alston, Dani has arrived at the telling moment where Devilment become a genuine force to be reckoned with.

Formed in 2011 in the mystical county of Suffolk, England, Devilment burst into the vexed consciousness of the heavy metal hive mind with their debut demo ‘Grotescapology’ in 2012. Led by the unmistakably grim vocal gymnastics of Cradle Of Filth frontman Dani Filth, the band swiftly grabbed the attention of legendary music biz mover and shaker Monte Conner and were duly snapped up by his Nuclear Blast Entertainment imprint. In October 2014, these Albion-dwelling infidels unveiled their debut album, ‘The Great And Secret Show’: a whirlwind of pitch-black thrash metal riffing, multifarious gothic embellishments and a mean, mischievous streak a mile wide, it provided a telling and irresistible introduction to Devilment’s uniquely perverse, surreal and vicious musical world, wherein werewolves, voodoo temptresses and mutant fungal strains ran riot. Immediately embraced by the malevolent faithful, it was a sturdy and convincing statement of intent that paved the way for the sustained dissemination of its creators’ wildly imaginative and unsettling vision.

THE WHITE BUFFALO a.k.a. songwriter Jake Smith last toured Europe in 2016 which included playing to a sold out Shepherd’s Bush Empire to an ecstatic crowd, and a raucous set at the Ramblin’ Man Fair.
You can watch a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live
here:
Smith says "I can't wait to get to Europe/UK to play these new songs. The emotion, swagger, and feel of the new material will be intoxicating to perform."

THE WHITE BUFFALO recently revealed details of his sixth full-length album 'Darkest Darks, Lightest Lights' to be released on October 13th 2017 via Earache Records. The first single from the album, "The Heart and Soul of the Night" is now available on iTunes and other streaming services.

Listen to it here:

Smith has resolutely charted his own single-minded musical course for more than a decade. His captivating live presence and workingman's approach to his craft has earned him a loyal fan base worldwide. In 2015 he released ‘Love and The Death of Damnation’ an album that prompted Q to note that "Smith's capacity to tell tales and evoke atmospheres remains undimmed" and that he was" a turbo charged Bruce Springsteen, equal parts brain and brawn". Uncutthought it was "A rich composite of Eddie Vedder and Steve Earle...impressive" and Classic Rock that "The music is audacious...a mix of hardcore country, southern rock and deep soul". Total Guitar cited it as “Superbly crafted acoustic Americana".

Over the course of five albums, various EPs and numerous prominent placements in such high-profile outlets as TV's Sons of Anarchy and Californication, Smith has built a powerful body of work that marks him as a genuine original. The California-bred artist writes timeless, vividly detailed character studies, tapping into the emotional lives of various misfits, outsiders and troubled souls with insight and compassion. His songwriting is matched by his rough-hewn, deeply expressive voice, and by his distinctive instrumental arrangements, which are simultaneously intimate and epic.

Pre-order 'Darkest Darks, Lightest Lights' now on limited edition signed CD and vinyl at http://www.earache.com/twb

The album is also available to pre-order now on iTunes, including an instant download of the first single, “The Heart and Soul of the Night”, at http://bit.ly/ddll-itunes

Europe Announce New Album 'Walk The Earth'

ANNOUNCE “WALK THE EARTH” ALBUM
20th October 2017
Hell & Back Recordings (Silver Lining Music)

UK Arena Tour with Deep Purple November 2017

Europe are pleased to announce the release of a new studio album “Walk The Earth” on the 20th October 2017.

If Europe’s 2015 album “War Of Kings” was the album that made the rock world realise what a formidable act Europe had become then “Walk The Earth” is the album that is set to establish the band as one of the most exciting contemporary rock acts of current times.

The new album ‘Walk The Earth’ will feature original artwork by famed Los Angeles artist Mike Sportes of Filth Mart

“We were in the studio a few days into recording and Dave (Cobb, Producer) comes in wearing this very cool T-Shirt with one of Mike's designs on it. Immediately we knew we had to check Mike's other work and have him come up with an exclusive design for us based on the vibe of the album. We are very proud to have his amazing artwork as the Walk The Earth album cover!' - Joey Tempest on the appointment of Mike Sportes to do the cover.

“Walk The Earth” tracklisting:
1. Walk The Earth
2. The Siege
3. Kingdom United
4. Pictures
5. Election Day
6. Wolves
7. GTO
8. Haze
9. Whenever You’re Ready
10. Turn To Dust

From the anthemic sound of the opening track “Walk The Earth” – to the heavy vibe that is “Haze”, from the instant melody of “Election Day” to the lyrical content of “Kingdom United”, “Walk The Earth” is the album that should see Europe rightly acclaimed as a band at the height of their powers. The wonderful melodies and depth of Joey Tempest’s vocals along with a powerhouse rhythm section and the guitar playing of John Norum, one of the great underrated guitarists. Norum’s guitar playing shines across the record. This is an album that is big in its scope and sound. Much like previous album “War Of Kings”, “Walk The Earth” is an album that has instant appeal but is also an album that needs to be lived with, in order to uncover it’s depth. The album was recorded at famed Abbey Road Studios in London with Grammy winning producer Dave Cobb (Rival Sons, Shooter Jennings, Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton).

Late 2016 saw Europe perform a series of “The Final Countdown Anniversary Shows” across Europe – culminating in a show at The Roundhouse in London. The show has been immortalised in a July 2017 DVD release “The Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Show - Live at the Roundhouse”.

Preceding the landmark event, fans were also treated to a live performance of Europe’s last album, 2015’s War of Kings, a release which re-established Europe as one of the top rock bands in the world.

Since forming in 1979 Europe have sold over 25 million albums, toured across the world and become one of the greats of modern rock music. The bands all conquering “The Final Countdown” album has alone sold over 15 million copies worldwide and the single of the same name was No 1 in 25 countries.

Europe tour with Deep Purple in late 2017. Full dates are below
Fri 17th Nov 2017 Barclaycard Arena, Birmingham UK
Sat 18th Nov Manchester Arena, Manchester UK
Mon 20th Nov Motorpoint Arena, Cardiff UK
Wed 22nd Nov The SSE Hydro, Glasgow UK
Thurs 23rd Nov The o2 Arena, London UK

For tickets see http://europetheband.com

European Tour Dates for November and December to announced imminently

“Walk The Earth” is released through Hell & Back Recordings (Silver Lining Music) on 20th October 2017.

Last week, the band released their second digital single 'Koolaid', off of ‘The Rise Of Chaos’. Check out the lyric video for the track, here:

Wolf Hoffmann stated:
"'Koolaid' is a well-known flavoured drink, which in the past has been mixed with Cyanide by a cult leader who forced his congregation to drink it: men, women & children. All so everybody could get to heaven. Since then, the phrase ”drinking the Kool-Aid" is referring to a person or group holding an unquestioned belief, argument, or philosophy without critical examination. That common fact, that people believe anything, when sold in the right way, has intrigued me all my life. For me, being critical and alert all the time, is the key to every decision that one makes. That is the main message!"

The Rise Of Chaos tracklist:
01. Die By The Sword
02. Hole In The Head
03. The Rise Of Chaos
04. Koolaid
05. No Regrets
06. Analog Man
07. What’s Done Is Done
08. Worlds Colliding
09. Carry The Weight
10. Race To Extinction

"The Rise Of Chaos is something I have been thinking about often. Wherever we go - there is some hidden as well as some visible destruction and it kind of changes the world we know. What was there today - can be gone tomorrow and it's somehow irritating, because it happens on so many levels and no one knows what comes next. The cover portrays our last stage set-up - but now clearly "destroyed" - like… after a catastrophe", explains Wolf.

The cover artwork of the new record was created by the Hungarian artist Gyula Havancsák.

ACCEPT will celebrate the album's live premiere exclusively on August 3rd on the day before its release, as a part of a special show at Wacken Open Air, Germany. The set will consist of three parts, which represent the band's creative power:

Part 1 will bring fans a classic ACCEPT set, packed with new and old hits. Whilst part 2 will present another premiere: Wolf Hoffmann will be playing tracks from his solo album Headbangers Symphony with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra for the very first time. The finale and part 3 will see ACCEPT sharing the stage with the orchestra and supported by a complex multimedia show.

This unique concert experience will take place on this year's Night To Remember which makes it even more special. The Night To Remember is a celebrated, long-lasting Wacken tradition and allows for a selection of established bands to perform something unique and special for their fans.

Wolf stated:
"It's always impressive to see how bands take this evening seriously and how much love the artists and the organising team put into their work to get a varied result. It's a great tradition which underlines and documents the top-notch level of the international rock community like nothing else. We also want to present something that ACCEPT has never done before, we hope we can give something really special to the fans."

FURTHER UK, EURO AND US PERFROMANCES SET TO TAKE PLACE THIS YEAR

London’s Orange Goblin, have finally officially announced that writing has begun for a brand new album, to be released around May/June 2018.

The new record will be their first for the Candlelight label since being acquired by Spinefarm/Universal and will be recorded early next year at Orgone Studios, UK, with producer Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost, Cathedral, Paradise Lost, Angel Witch etc).

It is the band’s first album since 2014’s ‘Back From The Abyss’ and although there is no information on the album title or track listing, the band can reveal that the record will feature a guest appearance by the legendary Motorhead guitarist, Phil Campbell.

As well as working on the new album, the band are currently enjoying a massive year having played the main stage at Download Festival, Resurrection Fest in Spain and receiving a nomination for ‘Best UK Band’ at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.

Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital gets International Support from American Rock Stars KISS

Legendary rock band KISS is supporting Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital by donating an incredible, money-can’t-buy prize to help raise valuable funds for the hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Following the recent tragic event in Manchester the Children’s Hospital has received an out-pouring of support from across the North West and beyond with individuals, schools and businesses wanting to help in any way possible to support the patients and staff at the hospital. This tremendous support has now stretched across the Atlantic with rock stars KISS getting in touch to pledge their support after the awful attack.

Paul Stanley has donated his signature Ibanez PS120 guitar which he was intending to play at their Manchester Arena gig on Tuesday 30th May. The band sadly had to cancel the gig following the attack at the Manchester Arena. The guitar, signed by Paul himself, has never been played and will be up for auction along with VIP tickets, backstage Meet & Greet and photos with the band backstage for four people to a KISS gig anywhere in the world.

Paul Stanley said:
“We were devastated by the heinous attack in Manchester Arena and had to do something to support the city. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital's incredible work with children was never more evident than after this horrific event. We are humbled to be able to give something to support them in their ongoing efforts. Knowing that the money raised will go towards purchasing life-support ventilators, our prayers and wishes will continue to help both those affected directly by the attack, and beyond. This night will give everyone an opportunity to do their part in raising as much money as possible for an incredibly worthy cause.”

This phenomenal prize will be auctioned off at the Red Sea Pedestrians (RSP) 10th Anniversary Charity ball in aid of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, which will be held on17th March 2018 at the Lowry Hotel. The RSP Charitable committee have supported Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital for a number of years with funds raised for the charity totalling to £827,381 since 2011.

The Charity Ball will be raising funds to support the hospital’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) which cared for many of the young victims who were seriously injured in the Arena attack. Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital is a regional major trauma centre with all paediatric major trauma cases from across the region directed to the hospital, with most of these cases cared for in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

A total of £740k is required to ensure the unit is able provide 26 cutting edge life support machines. The new state-of-the-art life support machines are the most advanced mechanical ventilators and the very real impact they will have on the quality of patient care, and the benefits it will mean for medical staff is considerable.

Maurice Watkins CBE, Chairman of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity’s fundraising board added:
“We’re delighted that KISS has donated this incredible prize to be auctioned at the RSP Charity Ball and want to thank them for their tremendous generosity. In recent testing times staff at the hospital – just like the city of Manchester – pulled together to make sure the young victims from the attack got the best possible care, as quickly as possible. The new ventilators we are fundraising for will ensure that the medical teams in our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit can assess a patient’s condition faster and more accurately, resulting in more effective treatment and care at a time when rapid reaction to a patient’s condition is crucial.”

Motörhead to Release Covers Compilation 'Under Cover'

ONE THING Lemmy Kilmister, Phil Campbell and Mikkey Dee liked to do over their years together in Motörhead, was grab a favourite song by another artist and give it a good old fashioned ‘Motörheading’. To run them through the Motörizer if you will. To rock them, roll them and even give them an extra twist and edge.

In celebration of some of those finest moments, the band will release Under Cöver, a collection of some of their best covers, and a collection which will include the previously unreleased version of David Bowie’s timeless classic “Heroes”. Recorded during the Bad Magic sessions in 2015 by Cameron Webb, and was one of the last songs the band recorded together.

“It’s such a great Bowie song, one of his best, and I could only see great things coming out of it from us, and so it proved to be,” says Phil Campbell
“and Lemmy ended up loving our version.”
“He was very, very proud of it,” says Mikkey Dee, “not only because it turned out so well but because it was fun! Which is what projects like this should be – fun!”

To that ethic, the rest of the album contains loud and proud, raucous and raging Rock ‘N’ Roll takes on the likes of “God Save The Queen” (Sex Pistols), “Cat Scratch Fever” (Ted Nugent), “Rockaway Beach,” (The Ramones), Breaking The Law” (Judas Priest) and “Whiplash” (Metallica) which earned the band a Grammy in 2005 for Best Metal Performance.
“We were happy with them at the time and we’re happy with them now!” affirms Campbell, whilst Dee says, “We should remember that it’s about having some fun with songs that we all loved.”

So there you are. If that doesn’t have you scrambling for your music delivery device, then check your pulse pronto. Or just start scrambling for a copy of Under Cöver immediately. You won’t be sorry.

The Australian band has just dropped another sonic thunderbolt from the album in the form of the fiery video for "The Son of Misery."
Watch it here:

About Dear Desolation, vocalist C.J. McMahon said,
"I feel the strongest I've ever felt going into a record. Coming back to the fold of our band has reinvigorated me. I missed my brothers, touring, and of course all our dedicated fans around the world who have always given us their all. This new record is going to shape our future; we gave it everything we could and then some. In the past, I was the weakest link and now that I have re-built myself, we are stronger than ever and nothing can stand in our way."

Adds guitarist Andy Marsh, "Hate, War, Desolation; the trilogy series of the path mankind has laid out before himself. We are prouder than ever of our efforts on this record. A lot of time, planning, creativity and teamwork has culminated in what we think is our most completed vision yet: Dear Desolation."

VENOM INC.discuss "Avé" album art in third trailer

Regardless of your take on black metal forefathers VENOM, they are the undisputed originators of extreme metal as we know it. Almost 40 years after their inception, the revitalized 1989-1992 line-up of guitarist Jeff "Mantas" Dunn, vocalist/bassist Tony "Demolition Man" Dolan and drummer Anthony "Abaddon" Bray have returned with a monster of an album.

VENOM INC. was born during an impromptu live set at 2015's Keep it True Festival in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany. The on-stage reunion was a rousing success amongst VENOM fans and music industry personnel alike, and although it was originally only set up for fun, Dolan began receiving numerous show offers for VENOMINC. from booking agents around the world. What started as a live set to celebrate VENOM's legacy immediately turned into a serious reunion discussion. The rest is history.

Going in to writing Avé, VENOM INC. realized their live performance was the key to creating an album that would be a metal classic. It was clear that any songs the trio came up with had to have the intensity, the honesty and the aggression that was happening for VENOM INC. in a live situation. Simply put, they needed to translate what they do on stage onto a record. Not once did they look back on the VENOM catalogue and think, "We have to write another 'Black Metal' or another 'Schizo'…" The focus is on VENOM INC. and everything the rejuvenated three-piece do in the here and now.

While unexpected at the outset, the end result of this reunion is an album that true VENOM fans will gladly add to the top of their playlists.
